Our Pop Up Art Sale was held to raise funds for ARFT, to help them reunite refugees with their families in NZ.
It was at Mt Eden Village Centre on 17th and 18th November 2018. There was a steady stream of people through the Pop Up gallery on both days. The response to the art was touching, with visitors spending a long time studying the pieces – a huge credit to the quality of the works donated.
We sold 51 works, ran raffles and held a bagel stall (thanks Best Ugly Bagels!), to raise a grand total of $6,953.10!

"Please pass on our huge thanks to all the contributors. We have several cases on the go at the moment so the funds will be used to bring refugee family members here before Christmas. A wonderful thought."

Unsold works were donated to the Shakti Organisation, who had a fundraising art auction soon afterward.
"Thanks again for your support! The exhibition/auction was a success, we raised around $3500 for our (ethnic women's) refuge in Wellington. It definitely means a lot to us."

Remaining work is now decorating the Shaki Refuge centres and offices, creating a brighter atmosphere for people who really need a lift.
